  • Awareness (community information to solve problems)
  • The desktop environment (GNOME, KDE,...)
  • The type of package used to distribute software (mainly deb and RPM)
  • The maintainer of the distribution (usually a company or a community)

The operating system is free, secure and stable. Mageia incorporates the suite desktop LibreOffice, KDE and GNOME desktop managers. Easy to use for everyone, the distribution takes to heart to improve the integration of third-party software.
