Solutions without formatting the USB
The first solutions is to simply restart the computer and then to re - test your USB.The problem may also come from the USB port of your computer. For this plug your USB stick on another USB port.
Naming a new letter:
Sometimes Windows can't assign a letter to your USB stick.First plug your USB stick.
Go to control panel > administrative tools > computer management.
In the storage section click on disk management > right click on USB > click on explore.
If no letter is assigned to your USB key go to step 2, otherwise go to step 1.
Step 1) return to the disk management > right click on your key USB > click on change drive letter and paths... > click on edit > select a letter > click Ok > click Yes
Step 2) return to the disk management > right click on your key USB > click on change drive letter and paths... > click on add > choose a new letter for your USB key > click Ok > click Yes
Recover your USB:
Via cmd.exeThe Chkdsk command to detect and repair any errors from your USB. You must be an administrator to run the Chkdsk command. No files in the USB should - be open during the process.
Click on start > run (or Windows key + R) > type "cmd" > type Chkdsk /f F: (F: being the letter of your key) > type 'Y' If prompted

Solutions by formatting the USB
